Why silicone instead of grip tape

The 43X and 48 are two of the best-balanced carry Glocks made, and the factory frame texture is polite. Most owners reach for grip tape, and grip tape works, but the grit on its abrasive textures is also what sands the inside of a cover garment and rubs bare skin on appendix carry. Terragrip™ is a custom-formulated silicone elastomer. It conforms to your hand, holds through tack and slight compression, and has nothing abrasive on its surface. Fitment and compatibility

• Fits: Glock 43X, Glock 43X MOS, Glock 48, Glock 48 MOS. Same frame, same kit.
• Optics and slides: no effect on fitment. The grip pieces are frame-only.
• Magazines: the kit is cut for the frame, so factory 10-round magazines, aftermarket magazines and extensions all work as normal.
• Holsters: the kit adds 0.5 mm per side. Most Kydex holsters retain on the trigger guard, not the grip, so fit is unchanged; a rig molded tightly to the bare frame can feel slightly firmer for the first few days.

Installation

Clean, align, wrap, press. Wipe the frame with the included alcohol pad, line each piece up with the frame edges, wrap it on, and press each piece firmly for 30 seconds. Does this fit the Glock 48 as well as the 43X?

Yes. The 43X and 48 share a frame, so one kit covers the 43X, 43X MOS, 48 and 48 MOS.

Will my Kydex holster still fit?

In almost every case, yes. The grips add 0.5 mm per side, thinner than a credit card, and most Kydex holsters retain on the trigger guard rather than the grip. A holster molded very tightly to the bare frame may feel firmer for the first few days. How is this different from grip tape?

Most grip tape works through an abrasive or textured surface. Terragrip™ is silicone: it grips by tack and slight compression, so it does not wear on shirts or skin, it cushions recoil, and it removes without residue.

Should I stipple the frame instead?

Is it hard to install?

No. Clean the frame with the included pad, align each piece, wrap, and press for 30 seconds. About ten minutes in total. Give it 24 hours before shooting.

Can I take it off later?

Yes. Peel it off by hand. It leaves no residue and no mark on the frame, so the gun goes back to factory condition.
